Craig Effrain has been involved with non-profit organizations for twenty years, both as in-house counsel and as outside counsel. He has represented, advised and counseled non-profits regarding their regulatory filings and reports, prepared their contracts, structured their compliance and governance programs and provided overall legal counsel. Mr. Effrain has also setup non-profit organizations, including formation under state law and obtaining tax-exempt status under federal law.

Mr. Effrain served as Assistant General Counsel and Corporate Secretary to a New York non-profit health insurance company. He was involved in the non-profit’s reporting requirements and structure, including advising on, and updating, a governance and compliance program.
